How to use your puppy checklist

  1. Tell us a little about your puppy. Choose their age, approximate adult size, your experience, and home environment. No precise breed or weight estimate is needed.
  2. Make the list yours. Generate the checklist, tick off tasks, and add anything specific to your household.
  3. Keep it handy. Your progress saves in this browser. Print a copy or choose Download PDF to save the checklist directly to your device.

A simple example

A first-time owner with an 8–12-week-old puppy in an apartment will see reminders to plan a toilet-break route and agree on household responsibilities. A home with a garden receives a garden-check reminder instead.

A few things you might be wondering

What do I need before bringing a puppy home?

Start by arranging a safe resting area, suitable food and bowls, walking equipment, cleanup supplies, identification, and veterinary contact information. Adapt the details to your puppy and ask the current carer about their existing routine.

Can I save my checklist without an account?

Yes. Progress and your personal tasks are stored in this browser on this device. They do not sync to other devices. Clearing site data or using private browsing can remove saved progress.

How do I download a puppy checklist PDF?

Generate your checklist, then select Download PDF. A PDF file downloads directly with your tasks, personal additions, and completion marks. Print checklist opens the separate browser print dialog.

Will changing my answers erase my progress?

Choose Update my checklist after editing the answers. Completed items that still apply and all your personal tasks are kept. Removed tasks no longer count toward completion.

Can I use this for an older puppy?

Yes. Select Over 24 weeks and adapt the checklist to your situation. It is a preparation aid rather than an age-specific care schedule.
